It is the sequel to her first book, Wicked Lovely, and includes characters from her second book, Ink Exchange. It is the second book in the trilogy that began with Wicked Lovely and will end with Book 5. (Book 4 will be a standalone)

POVs: Seth, Aislinn, Sorcha, Donia

Main Character: Seth, as per this quote from a September 2008 interview: "This is, in many ways, Seth’s story. It follows up on the problems that are hinted at in Ink Exchange (ones some readers astutely saw as possibilities at the end of Wicked Lovely)."

Courts: High, Summer, and Winter.

Cover: To the right. The cover is graced with a butterfly and sports the "Tales of Faerie" signature cover design.

Front Cover Flap Summary:
"Seth never expected he would want to settle down with anyone—but that was before Aislinn. She is everything he'd ever dreamed of, and he wants to be with her forever. Forever takes on new meaning, though, when your girlfriend is an immortal faery queen.
Aislinn never expected to rule the very creatures who'd always terrified her—but that was before Keenan. He stole her mortality to make her a monarch, and now she faces challenges and enticements beyond any she'd ever imagined.
In Melissa Marr's third mesmerizing tale of Faerie, Seth and Aislinn struggle to stay true to themselves and each other in a milieu of shadowy rules and shifting allegiances, where old friends become new enemies and one wrong move could plunge the Earth into chaos."

 Binding: Hardcover, 389 pages

ISBN: 006121471X (isbn13: 9780061214714)

Release Date: Week of April 21st, 2009

Ani
Father: Gabriel
Mother: Jillian (Human)
Siblings: Tish, Rabbit (different mother)

We meet Ani in Ink Exchange, she is Rabbit's (Leslie's tattoo artist).
Also we see her in Fragile Eternity, It would seem she is going to help Seth train with the hounds.

Ani will be a narater for Radiant Shadows, along with Rae and Devlin

WL Editions

US/Canada Edition

Publisher: HarperTeen
Release Date: 06/12/07
Pages: 336
Language: English

UK Edition

Publisher: Harper UK
Release Date: 08/06/07
Pages: 356
Language: English

Australia/New Zealand

Release Date: August 07
Pages: 356
Language: English

Germany

Title: Gegan das Sommerlicht
Translation: Aginst the Summerlight
Release Date: 07/15/07
Pages: 352
Language: German

Sweden
Publisher: Damm Forlag
Release Date: August 2008
More Details to come!

Italy
Publisher: Fazi Editore
Release Date: June 2008
More Details to come!

Denmark
Publisher: Forlaget Sesam
Release Date: June 2008
More Details to come!

Finland
Publisher: Werner Soderstrom Oy
Release Date: June 2008
More Details to come!

Spain
Title: ENCANTO FATAL
Translation: Fateful Charm
Release Date: June 2008
Publisher: Salamandra
More Details to come!

France
Publisher: Albin Michel
Release Date: May 2009
More details to come!

Other Editions:
Turkey (Released)
Indonesia (Released)
Brazil (To come)

WL-Summer Court guards

Encountered: Chapter Five - by Donia, at her cottage, Chapter Nine - by Donia, in the streets of Huntsdale, Chapter Eleven - at the school.

Beira visits Donia--as always after Keenan's visit to her--and keeps moving close enough to Donia that she steps out into her yard and watches the guards:

'In the shadows she saw a score of Keenan's lackeys. Rowan-men, fox-faeries and other court soldiers - even those that looked almost mortal were still somehow strange to her after decades of their presence. They were always there, watching her, carrying word of her every move back to him. No matter that she told him innumerable times that she wanted them gone. No matter that she felt trapped by their watching and waiting.
[...]
He'd been too used to Rika's cooperation, too used to everyone kowtowing to him. So Donia had frozen a number of guards during the first decade. If they came too close to her, she let a thick rime cover them until they couldn't move. Most had recovered, but not all.
Keenan merely sent more. He didn't even complain. No matter how awful she was to him, he insisted on sending more of his guards to keep watch over her. And she kept lashing out, freezing them until eventually he told the next round of guards to stand in the safety of the furthest trees or perch in the boughs of the yew and oak. It was progress of a sort.' (pg54 and pg55)

'Across the street several of Keenan's guardsmen kept a discreet distance, winding their way around the people, leaning into the crumbling facades of the buildings in this part of the city, and somehow still managing to keep the edges of their longs coats from dragging through any of the filth on the ground.' (pg94 and pg95)

'The guards were keeping their distance, but even being near that much iron had to be painful for them. He motioned for them to pull back further.' (pg96)

'She kept her voice as low as she could in hopes that Keenan's guards wouldn't hear.
One of them was already moving closer to her.
Too late. She hid her brief smile - any success against them was a pleasure - as she disconnected.' (pg116 and pg117)

'Along with the stares from half the students at school, Keenan's faeries watched them, unabashed as the fey always were. They seemed tired, shifting in and out of the school in small groups. Although the metal-laden building must be painful for them, they stood alert and observant, keeping Keenan in their sight at all times. They treated him reverently. Why wouldn't they if Keenan is a faery king.' (pg117)

Of all of Keenan's guards that are sent to watch over Keenan and Donia in Wicked Lovely, only two are named: Evan, who leaves the Summer Court at the end of Wicked Lovely to become the head of her new guard, and Skelley, who is described as 'soft, like the Scrimshaw Sisters'. It is unknown if any other of the guards regularly watch over her: only those two are named and mentioned multiple times.

WL-Rowan-men

Encountered: Chapter Eleven - at the school.

As Aislinn meets Keenan when he is first joining her school, she notices one of the rowan-men. It is unknown if he is encountered again, or even if he is Evan or Skelley; he isn't mentioned again with any sense of familiarity:

'She stood there, trying not to bolt, refusing to look at Keenan - even though he watched her expectantly - while several more faeries walked up behind Father Myers.
One of the ones whose skin looked like bark - crackled and greyish - caught Keenan's gaze. He gestured at the others who were fanned out at the entrance and said, "All clear."
"Miss Foy? Aislinn?" Father Myers cleared his throat.
She looked away from the retinue of faeries that had invaded Bishop O'Connell. "I'm sorry, Father. He is acknowledged as the oldest of the King's advisors and seems to suffer the most from the curse (with the exception of Keenan and Donia).

Keenan notes Tavish served his father, the prior Summer King, so Tavish remembers -- and longs for -- the previous glory of the Summer Court. After centuries waiting and hoping for the arrival of the Summer Queen, Tavish has become very serious and in tight control of his emotions. This prompts Niall to worry if Tavish doesn't become more emotional and animated -- as opposed to dour and controlled -- he'll end up a part of the High Court.

Tavish is a tall, elegant summer fey; Aislinn describes him in Chapter 11 of Wicked Lovely: 'If she glanced at them quickly, they looked like they weren't much older than her, but the taller of the two had a strange solemnity that made Aislinn suspect he was old. He had unusually long hair for such a serious demeanour; under his glamour it glittered like thick silver cords. A smallish black sun tattoo was visible on the side of his throat, exposed by his tightly plaited hair.' Aislinn first encounters him at her high school, posing as one of Keenan's two "uncles."

Tavish is literally and figuratively "old school" in his attitudes. He has a narrow and somewhat mysoginistic view of women in general, and mortal girls in particular. He implies on more than one occasion women/girls are good for only "one thing," saying "being friends is not what girls are for."

In discussions on how best Keenan can persuade Aislinn to be the Summer Queen, Tavish's advice to Keenan is to use whatever means necessary to compel her to take up the staff and assume the role. Tavish condones and supports Keenan's efforts to tempt Seth with female fey, and in so doing, showing Ash she can't trust her friend.

Keenan feelings of urgency and desperation over restoring the Summer Court are reinforced by Tavish. When Donia tells Keenan Beira has asked her to cheat at the game and keep Aislinn from touching the staff, Keenan asks Tavish for advice. The older fey says just hearing Beira fears Ash is enough to give him hope.

His advice to Keenan on how to influence Aislinn to become Summer Queen is chilling and indicative of his overall attitude: "Make her agree . . . do whatever you must, even if it is . . . unpalatable to you or her."

WL-Niall

From Melissa Marr's website:
Niall (nye-ale) or (neil) -- "champion"; "passionate, vehement"; anglicized as "Neil."

The last Summer King accepted Niall into the Summer Court despite Niall's dubious past. His dual sense of gratitude and indebtedness, combined with his pre-Summer Court experiences, make him inflexible on ethics issues. Niall is a member of Keenan's Summer Court, and is one of his closest advisors. He's at least as old as Keenan, since he's been helping in the search for the Summer Queen since the beginning.

Aislinn, about Niall: 'The second faery had shorn wood-brown hair, and a face that would be somehow forgettable but for the long scar that ran from his temple to the corner of his mouth.'

Leslie says of Niall, "his face was as beautiful as Keenan’s but in a different way: Niall’s had character. One long scar ran from his temple to the corner of his mouth, and he wasn’t shy about it. His hair was cut so short that there was no chance of anything detracting from the beauty of that jagged line."

Niall has the sleek, musculature of a martial artist.

Niall seems the most empathic of Keenan's circle of guards, Summer Girls and advisors. He's aware of the impact the curse has on the court, noting it's effect on Tavish, for example. In addition, he is aware of the change the mortal girls undergo when they become Summer Girls. In a conversation between Keenan, Tavish and himself, Niall points out to Tavish mortal girls lose their inhibitions when they become Fey and that is why they are so receptive and "affectionate." Niall also knows how Donia feels, calling it "the Winter Girl's melancholy love."

The most important aspect of Niall's contribution to Keenan's decision-making is his concern with volition. Initially, this concern manifests when he carefully explains to Tavish why it is the mortal girls' attitudes toward sex and men change after they become Summer Girls.

Later, when Keenan has decided to take Tavish's advice and use whatever persuasion necessary to get Aislinn to accept her role as Summer Queen, Niall steps in and stops him. Moreover, in their discussion, Niall pushes Keenan to think about the sort of king he wants to be, now that he's on the brink of finally coming into his full power. Niall's advice is to be a fair and just King, setting an example and not allowing the type of cruelty the Dark court allows.

In Leslie's opinion, Niall seems sweet -- kind in a way that Keenan wasn’t.

Niall is one of the three POVs in the second novel, Ink Exchange.

WL-Summer Girls

Encountered: Chapter Seven - in the library, Chapter Eight - in the library and mentioned later in Seth's home, Chapter Ten - in the streets of Huntsdale.

The Summer Girls are earlier girls, chosen by Keenan, sometime during the past nine centuries as 'the one'. The Summer Girls are the girls who didn't choose to lift the staff and try their luck at becoming Summer Queen; there is at least eighty of them. They need to be around Keenan to thrive--otherwise they'll fade. It is unknown how long they can stay away from him, or if the events of Wicked Lovely have changed how close they need to remain to him.

'The door opened and a mother with a couple of kids came in.
Behind them was a group of faeries, invisible to the other patrons. All six were beautiful - moving like models, wearing clothes that looked like they'd been tailored for their willowy bodies. If it weren't for the flowering vines slithering across their skin, they'd look human. The vines, though, were like living tattoos, moving of their own volition, crawling on the girls' bodies.
One of the girls span across the floor in some old-fashioned dance. The others giggled and bowed to one another before following her.
Then the first one saw Donia. She murmured something to the others and they stopped. Even the undulating vines stilled.
[...]
Finally, Aislinn said, "If you hadn't been there..."
"What?" The expression on Donia's face was pained as she looked away from the faeries.
[...]
Donia shot a brief glare at the faeries, who were giggling again.' (pg77 and pg78)

In Chapter Eight, after Donia leaves and Seth arrives, he leaves her side briefly to grab notes, and the Summer Girls come closer to Aislinn:

'"Let me grab my notes." Then he walked away, right past the group of faeries headed towards Aislinn.
One of the faery girls circled behind her. She's the new one.
A second one stroked a hand over Aislinn's hair. Pretty thing.
Another shrugged. I suppose.
Aislinn tried to keep her face blank. Focus. She concentrated on the rustling of the leaves against the girls' clothes, not the strange sugary-sweet scent that seemed to pervade the air around them, not the too-hot brush of their skin as they inspected her with their hands. It wasn't comfortable - at all - but after the fiasco outside, their touch seemed somehow less awful. The violence of the three guys... She shuddered.
The faeries chattered back and forth, louder now that Donia had left and, presumably, no one in the library could hear them.
The Winter Girl seems to be making progress.
This one's a no-touch now.
Who cares? I'm not fond of girls. Now her friend... He's touchable. Tasty.
They giggled.
If she's the one, she won't have a choice, will she? Her friend will be free game.
[...]
Who says we need to wait? One of the faeries stroked his cheek, another pinched him.
Seth's eyes widened.
Aislinn's heart thumped. He felt it. She'd never had to try to speak so the faeries didn't understand her, not with anyone but Grams, not with anyone who couldn't see them. Hoping the faeries were as daft as they looked, she slid her arm around his waist and tugged him towards the door, away from the lascivious faeries. "Ready to go home?"
"Definitely." He sped up a little, and draped an arm over her shoulders.
The Summer King might have some competition.
You want to tell him that? "Oh, Keenan, love... her toy is yummy."
Don't be mean. The king's good fun.
They all giggled again.
How much fun will he be with her around? You know how he gets.
I'll volunteer to distract the mortal, so Keenan can woo her.
Mmm, me too. Look at all those rings on his face. Wonder if he's got a tongue ring?' (pg80-pg82)

Aislinn mentions the Summer Girls again a few pages later:

'Finally she pulled back a little and told Seth about the faeries at the library who'd been circling her and talking about him. Then she asked, "So what do you think?"
He wrapped a long strand of her hair around his finger and stared at her. "About tongue rings?"
"About the faeries' comments," she corrected, blushing. She slid forwards like she was going to hop off the counter. "They seem to know what's going on, maybe you could see if there's anything about groups of Rianne-like faeries? You know, one's that are overly shallow and, umm, Seth..."' (pg85)

They are encountered again briefly (it is unknown if the Girls are the same as those earlier encountered) in Chapter Ten:

'Seth held on to her, but he didn't say anything.
"What would I do without you?" She closed her eyes, not wanting to see the vine-girls - or any of the other faeries - who stood watching them.' (pg104)

WL-Scrimshaw Sisters

Encountered: Chapter Nine - in the park, near the fountain.

As Aislinn and Seth are leaving the park, they encounter Scrimshaw Sisters; who may or may not be related to, or the same as, the bone-girls mentioned previously:

'"Thanks again for the save." Aislinn nodded then and walked off, heading straight towards the cadaverous Scrimshaw Sisters, who were gliding over the ground with their usual macabre beauty.
She'll swerve if she can see them.
She didn't. Like most of the water fey, they cared little for the other faeries in the park. They were still disquieting to Donia in a way that most of the fey no longer were, preying on mortals when given the slightest chance, drinking down their last breaths, somehow making death a sexual thing. Not even Irial's Dark Court disturbed her the way the water fey did.
Of course, Seth - like most mortals - didn't glance at them, but as he passed they stilled, watching him with that eerie hunger they had. They could see the passion in him, feel it somehow, or they wouldn't watch him so.
[...]
Beside her, Aislinn shuddered. She stared at the fountain, or perhaps past it where her mortal stood. "I guess it freaked me out a little. Seems unreal, you know? And the sort of things that come out at night..."
Donia sat up. "Things?"
It was an odd word to choose, an odd tone in her voice as Aislinn stared towards the kelpies.' (pg101 and pg102)

WL-Faery band

Encountered: Mentioned in Chapter Nine, by Donia.

'Once she thought she belonged with Keenan. When she'd met him - before she knew what he was - he'd taken her to hear his friends' band. He'd even bought her a dress - a short little number with strands of beads hanging everywhere, swaying when she danced. And did they dance!
The band was unlike anything she'd ever heard before - three tall, thin men made love with the songs they wrenched from their horns, while a woman with a sexy torch voice crooned to the crowd, promising everything with her words and her body. There were others, a heavyset man with fingers that stroked the piano keys like he was caressing it. When they played, gods, it was like they funnelled pure emotions into the instruments. Nothing had ever felt as good as listening to them play - nothing expect moving across the floor in Keenan's arms. Nothing ever would.
Shaking off the longing, she closed her eyes, listening to the sax-man in front of her. His song was flat compared to the faery band in her memories, but blessedly mortal. There was no trickery in his song, no lie woven in the notes. It was flawed, and somehow lovelier for it.' (pg99 and pg100)

The faery band isn't mentioned again, or encountered, during Wicked Lovely.

WL-Bone-girls

Encountered: Chapter Seven - at the library, mentioned in Chapter Eight - in Seth's train.

After Aislinn is attacked in the park and saved by Donia, Donia takes her to the library to clean up in the bathroom:

'Then she stepped back into the seemingly empty hallway, letting the bathroom door close softly behind her.
Donia stood, invisible now, talking to one of the bone-girls. Like the rest of the bone-girls, this one was ghastly white and so thin that each of her bones could be seen under her almost-translucent skin. The fact that she was mobile seemed to break some basic law. Surely things that looked so frail should have trouble moving? But the bone-girls glided over the ground without any visible effort. Despite their cadaverous mien, they were beautiful to watch.
[...]
"Find them. Find out why they attacked the girl. If anyone compelled them to do so, I want to know. Aislinn is not to be harmed."
The bone-girl's voice was a dry whisper, as if the words had to rush over something rough before they found form. "Should I tell Keenan?"
Donia didn't answer, but her eyes darkened to the same oil-black sheen they had in Comix.
The bone-girl stepped back, hands held up in supplication.
[...]
Aislinn's voice wasn't much louder than the bone-girl's had been when she answered. "Sure. I'm fine."' (pg75-pg76)

Aislinn briefly mentions the bone-girl again in Chapter Eight, once they're in the safety of Seth's steel walls:

'So she told him. She told him about the guys outside the library, about Donia's rescue and fury afterwards when she walked to the bone-girl. She let the words tumble out, not holding anything back.' (pg82)

It is unknown if they are kin to the Scrimshaw Sisters, or if the bone-girls (and this one in particular) are encountered again during Wicked Lovely.

WL-Wolf fey

Encountered: Chapter Two - in the streets of Huntsdale, Chapter Three - in the streets of Huntsdale (with Seth), Chapter Six - in the streets of Huntsdale.

After first meeting Keenan (and he, unbeknownst to her, sealing her fate with the words of the Game), Aislinn is panicked enough to start running - never a good idea, as fey always love to give chase. Some of her chasers include wolf fey:

'And she was panicked, more than she'd been in years, enough that she'd actually run for a block, attracting faery followers. Several gave chase at first, until one of the lupine faeries snarled at the others and they'd dropped off - all but one female. She loped alongside Aislinn on all fours as they ran up Third Avenue. The wolf-girl's crystalline fur chimed with an eerily appealing melody, as if it would lull the listener to trust. Aislinn slowed, hoping to discourage her, wanting to stop that chiming song. It didn't work.
[...]
As she rounded the corner on to Crofter, the red neon sign for the Crow's reflected on the faery's fur, emphasising holly-red eyes.
[...]
Then one of Seth's friends, Glenn, stepped in her path. He had so many bars in his face, she'd need to touch them to count them all.
Behind her, the wolf-girl paced, circling closr until the pungent scent of her fur was chokingly heady.
"Tell Seth his speakers came in," Glenn started.
The wolf-girl, still on all fours, nudged Aislinn with her head.
Aislinn stumbled, clutching Glenn's arm for balance.
[...]
She couldn't tell him the truth: the scary things weren't the guys smoking in the alley, but the lupine fey growling at her feet.
[...]
Glenn watched until she turned back to the street.
The wolf-girl snapped at the air behind Aislinn's ankles until she gave in to her fear and took off jogging the rest of the way to the railroad yard.
At the edge of Seth's lot, Aislinn stopped to compose herself. Seth was pretty together, but he still freaked sometimes when she was upset.
The wolf-girl howled as Aislinn walked the last couple of metres up to the train, but it didn't bother Aislinn as much, not here.' (pg20-pg23)

She sees the wolf fey again when she and Seth leave the safety of his steel walls:

'They walked silently for almost a block. Then he asked, "You want to stop at Rianne's?"
"Why?" Aislinn walked a little faster as the wolf-girl who'd given chase earlier started circling predatorily.' (pg36)

Another wolf faery is mentioned in Chapter Six, as Aislinn and Carla walk to school. It is unknown if this faery has been seen before, or has been seen since, in Wicked Lovely:

'Then one of the lupine faeries sniffed her, crystalline fur clattering like tiny glass chimes as he moved, and Aislinn trembled.' (pg65)

WL-Faeries outside apartment

Encountered: Chapter Six - in the hallway outside where Aislinn lives, Chapter Six - in the streets of Huntsdale.

On a Monday morning, Carla knocks on Aislinn's door to walk to school with her; Aislinn's good mood fades to see several fey standing in the hallway behind her:

'By the time Carla knocked on the door to walk to school, both Aislinn and Grams were smiling.
Then Aislinn opened the door and saw three faeries standing in the hallway behind Carla. They kept their distance from the door - no doubt uncomfortable because of the wrought-iron curlicues that covered the outside of the door. Grams had needed special permission to install the new door, but it was well worth it.
"Wow," Carla quipped when Aislinn's smile faltered. "Not trying to ruin your mood."' (pg64)

When she and Carla leave, she sees many more faeries, all watching her:

'Aislinn ran down the stairs, past several more faeries. They didn't usually come into the apartment building. It was one of the safer areas, no greenery in sight, steel security bars on the windows - not a bad neighbourhood, but far from the dangerous trees and shrubs in the suburbs.
As they walked the few blocks to school, Aislinn's good mood vanished entirely. Faeries crouched in the alcoves, walked behind them, murmured as they passed. It was beyond disconcerting.' (pg65)

WL-Fox-maidens

Encountered: Chapter Four - by Keenan, at Beira's house, Chapter Five - by Keenan, at Beira's house.

Beira displays who, of the two of them, has the most power, by pushing a web of ice against his chest and taunting him until several fox maidens arrive:

'Several fox-maidens came into the room. "His room is ready, mistress."
"The poor dear is tired. It is unknown how many hags there truly is (only three of the hags accompany Beira to Donia's cottage), though:

'"And where are your lackeys tonight?"
Beira made a "come here" motion in the direction of the copse of trees.
They came then: a trio of enormous shaggy black goats rounded the corner with three of Beira's faithful hags astride them. Though they were withered things - looking like the mere husks of women - the hags were eerily strong, able to rend limbs from even the eldest mountain trolls. They terrified Donia as they cackled like mad hens and paraded around the yard - as if they dared Keenan's waiting guards to come closer.
Donia stepped up to the porch rail, away from Beira, closer to the wretched women who served the Winter Queen. "Looking lovely, Agatha."
Agatha spat at her.
It was foolish to taunt them, but Donia did it every time they came around. She had to prove, to herself and to them, that she wasn't intimidated. "You do realise that it's not you that keeps the guards at bay?"
Of course, it wasn't her threat either that made the guards keep their distance. If Keenan said they should approach, they would. Her desires be damned. Their injuries and deaths be damned. Keenan's will as all that mattered to them.
The hags scowled at her, but they didn't answer. Like Keenan's guards, Beira's lackeys kept their distance from her. No one wanted to anger Beira, except Keenan.
Talk about dysfunctional families. Both Keenan and Beira protected her, as if the other one were a worse threat.
When the hags refused to say anything, Donia turned back to Beira.
[...]
Donia gripped the porch railing and tried to hold herself upright. It didn't work.
"Tootles." Beira gave Keenan's guards a finger wave and disappeared into the darkness with her hags.' (pg56-pg58)

WL-Bruised wood sprite

Encountered: Chapter Four - by Keenan, at Beira's home.

Keenan, bound by the rules of the Curse, makes his usual visit to his mother's home:

'From behind the wet bar, a badly bruised wood-sprite asked, "Drink, sir?"
"Keenan, sweetheart, tell the girl what you want. I need to check on the roast." Beira paused, still holding the tray of cookies. "You are staying for dinner, aren't you, dear?"
"Do I have a choice?" He ignored the sprite to walk over to a print on the far wall.
[...]
Then, humming a lullaby from his childhood - something about frozen fingers - Beira left to check on the roast.
He knew that if he followed her, there'd be a bevy of unhappy wood sprites bustling about her restaurant-sized kitchen. Beira's cloyingly sweet act didn't include actual cooking, just the image of the sort of mother who would cook.
"Drink, sir?" The sprite carried over two trays - one with milk, tea, hot cocoa and a variety of pre-packaged nutritional drinks; the other with carrot sticks, celery, apples and other equally mundane foods. "Your mother is most insistent you have a healthy snack." The sprite glanced in the direction of the kitchen. "It's not wise to anger the mistress."
Keenan took a cup of tea and an apple. "You think?"'
[...]
Without looking away from him, Beira motioned to the sprite, who promptly brought her a glass of something clear to drink.' (pg44 and pg45)

It is unknown if this wood sprite is encountered again; it isn't by Keenan, and therefore is assumed to not appear again in Wicked Lovely.
