Summer Girl

Tracey is a very young Summer Girl. She was Chosen by Keenan very recently -- certainly within the last fifty years or so, since Donia was the Winter Girl at the time.

Donia says of her, "she was too fragile, too easily confused, too gentle to be either Winter Girl or Summer Queen." In fact, Donia thinks Keenan should never have chosen Tracey. She is guilty over the choice, and thinks Keenan is, too.

Tracey is described as reed-thin with a soft voice. Like all the Summer Girls, she has what appears to be vine tatoos running over her arms and legs.

All the Summer Girls need to keep close to Keenan. Donia notes if they are away from the Summer King too long, they'll fade. Tracey, however, remains with Keenan year-round, but even so, she doesn't thrive.

She is intensely loyal to Keenan and questions Donia as to why she must try to convince Ash not to take the test. Donia explains she took a vow, and must fulfill the rules as they relate to her role as Winter Girl. Tracey, though, only understands this opposes Keenan's wants, and hurts him. In her opinion, that should be enough for Donia stop working against him.
